Governor Yap’s vision is to provide basic necessities and services to the poor and remove them from the intergenerational cycle of poverty. To this end, the provincial government prioritizes human capital development that focuses on Food Security (Pagkain Muna), Health (Kalusan Muna), Education (Edukasyon Muna), Livelihood (Trabaho Muna) and Environment (Kalikasan Muna).
In 2016, Governor Susan Areno Yap was elected as the second lady governor of the province after Margarita “TingTing” Cojuangco in 1992.
One of the primary goals of Governor Yap’s administration is the promotion of inclusive growth characterized by people’s participation in good governance, responsible leadership and equal opportunity for all. The province of Tarlac commits to attain sustainable development through the partnership between the national government and the local government units with the private sector and the civil society.

Throughout my years in service, I have put at the core of my campaigns, specific programs that have a direct and relevant impact on Tarlaqueños.
