THE provincial government of Tarlac through the Office of Provincial Agriculturist and the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) conducted Agri and Trade Fair, part of the celebration of Tarlac province’ 149th Araw ng Lalawigan held at Centro Organiko and Rotary Lane, May 28. Forty-nine Tarlaqueño exhibitors joined the trade fair while nine agri fair booths displayed their agriculture and fishery produce including ornamental plants. Total sales derived from the trade fair amounted to P321,912.00 while for agri-fair totaled P42,235.00.
In a statement, Governor Susan Yap thanked the exhibitor who participated in both trade fairs. “I would like to thank all the exhibitors who joined the two-day fair,” Yap said adding that, “It is great to see the fair back to showcase and promote Tarlaqueño products following two years of pandemic lockdowns.” PCEDO head Marvi dela Cruz said that the Small and Mid- Size Enterprise of Tarlac proved their resiliency while recovering from the negative impacts of Covid-19 pandemic and this is the first face-to-face local trade fair since 2020. Provincial Agriculturist Alicia Cruz also thanked farmers and fisherfolks who participated saying that the provincial government will always provide assistance to help boost food production in our province.
