Bello, Roque graces TUPAD pay-out in Tarlac
DEPARTMENT of Labor and Employment [DOLE] Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III and former Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque attended the TUPAD or Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers pay-out for 830 Tarlaqueños last January 12 at the Bulwagang KanLahi, Diwa ng Tarlac.

Bello and Roque joined Governor Susan Yap, Victoria Mayor and Tarlac second district congressional candidate Cristian Yap and Provincial Public Employment Service Office head Maria Lira Reyes in the distribution of the pay-out for workers from the second congressional district of the province.
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
In her message, Yap Gov. thanked Secretary Bello and Roque for gracing the affair.
“I wish to thank Sec. Bello and Atty. Roque for gracing this pay-out and I hope for the continued support of Sec. Bello to our displaced and disadvantaged workers in the province,” Gov. Yap said.

For his part, Bello promised additional TUPAD funds for the province of Tarlac and freebis livelihood program that include a bicycle and a cellular phone with P5,000 load while Roque said that 409 beneficiaries will each receive Bigasan Livelihood Program.
Others who were present during the pay-out were Ipatupad Partylist nominee Venus Esperado, DOLE Assistant Secretary Warren Miclat, DOLE Under Secretary Renato Ebarle, DOLE Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio, DOLE Tarlac head Aurita Laxamana, Board Member Antonio “Tonyboy” Cervantes Jr., City Councilor and board member candidate Cristopher “Topey” delos Reyes and Victoria Vice Mayor and mayoral candidate Rex Villa Agustin.
