THE 2022 budget of the Provincial Government of Tarlac was approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan [SP] in record time and was signed by Governor Susan Yap after Vice Governor Carlito “Casada” David and members of the Provincial Board presented it to her at the VIP room of the Diwa ng Tarlac, October 28.

The P3,534,753,787 budget was passed under Appropriation Ordinance No. 004-2021 titled: “An ordinance authorizing the annual budget for fiscal year 2022 of the Province of Tarlac in the total amount of PHP3,534,753,787.00 covering various expenditures for the operation of the Provincial Government of Tarlac for fiscal year 2022, and appropriating necessary funds for the purpose.”
The passing on the third and final reading of the provincial budget was during the SP’s 40th regular session.
Gov. Yap thanked Vice Governor David and the members of the Provincial Board for passing the 2022 budget in record time.
“The passing [of the annual budget] is a proof that the executive and legislative branches of the province have a common agenda and that all are working for the betterment of the province in terms of infrastructure and economic development,” the lady governor said.
Committee on Appropriations Chairman second district Board Member Antonio Cervantes Jr. likewise thanked the Vice Governor, his fellow board members, the SP secretariat and the Local Finance Committee for their cooperation and support in all budget hearing they conducted.
For his part, Vice Governor David said that for first time, the proposed annual budget was passed and signed very early.
“Sa kauna unahang pagkakataon maagang naipasa ang panukalang Annual Budget ng Probinsya. Ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat sa mga Board Members sa kanilang pagsisikap upang maisaayos ang bawat pagdinig,” VG David said.
Present during the signing of the budget aside from Gov. Yap and Vice Governor David were Board Members Jessie Aquino, Romeo Evangelista, Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Danilo Asiaten, Jude Joseph David, Cervantes, Vernon Villanueva, Saturnino Mandal, Danilo David, Kristine Ann Legaspi, Cristine Dizon and Joselito Capitulo.
