GOVERNOR Susan Yap gave honor to newly crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2022 queen Jenny Ramp, Miss Bikini Philippines 2022 winner Zeah Nestle Pala and Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Top 12 finalist Jasmine Omay last August 30.

A homecoming parade that kicked-off at the provincial capitol that pass through the main streets of Tarlac City and culminated at the Diwa ng Tarlac where Gov. Yap gave the three Tarlaqueña beauties trophies of recognition.
Ramp, a Filipino-American model and a psychology student and Pala, a Bachelor of Arts in English graduate placed third and second runners-up respectively while Omay, a model and host and a graduate of Bachelor of Business Administration was crowned Kanlahi Queen in the 6th edition of the Binibining KanLahi held last March. Ramp is from Sta. Ignacia, Pala is a native of Camiling and Omay is from Tarlac City.
Gov. Yap said that 2022 was a pleasant year for Tarlaqueña beauties as Tarlac has become an emerging beauty capital of the Philippines.
“It was a pleasant year, wow, three beauties making it to the national scene. You brought much pride to Tarlac. Our province has emerged as the new beauty capital of the Philippines,” Gov. Yap said.
She likewise urged the three to continue to inspire others.
“Please continue to inspire others and be an epitome of a Filipina woman, caring for our communities, caring for our loved ones and caring for our province…I wish you all the best and I am sure that whatever you seek in the future will be fulfilled,” Gov. Yap furthered.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution congratulating Ramp for being crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2022 and was presented by Board Members Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Harmes Sembrano and Christine Dizon.,
In a press conference, Ramp, Pala and Omay thanked the support given to them by the provincial government of Tarlac and their respective local governments.
“Our province is being recognized as the emerging beauty capital of the country! Mabuhay ang Tarlac!” Ramp said.
“We owe our success in national pageants to our local government, province mates and supporters,” said Omay.
While Pala said, “It really takes a province to make a beauty queen.”
Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe, also a Tarlac City native, previously made a big splash when she placed first runner-up at the Miss Globe competition in Albania. Another Tarlac City resident—transwoman Kevin Balot likewise won the Miss International Queen in early 2020 in Thailand.
Ramp is preparing for the Miss Earth 2022 global competition in Manila this November.
