PGT wins Pearl Award Souvenir Category

THE Provincial Government of Tarlac through the Tarlac Provincial Tourism was named as Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Award grand winner for the Souvenir Category (non-food) for its coffee table book titled “Beyond Bows and Arrows”.

Tarlac province was likewise awarded a plaque for its annual “Kanlungan ng Lahi” festival as a Distinguished Finalist for the Best Cultural Festival. Arsenio Lugay II, Tarlac’s Focal Person for Tourism received the awards during the ceremonies held at Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan last October 5.

In a statement, Governor Susan Yap said that the awards are testaments to Tarlaqueños’ dedication in promoting the province’s rich heritage and culture. “These awards are testaments to our dedication in promoting Tarlac’s rich heritage and culture. Let us continue to showcase the beauty of Tarlac,” Gov. Yap said.
