THE Provincial Government of Tarlac [PGT] is one with the Philippine Civil Service Commission [CSC] in the commemoration of the 121st anniversary of Philippine Civil Service as well as the celebration of the Civil Service Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050 series of 2017.

A flag raising ceremony on September 6 started the capitol’s commemoration of the anniversary. A raffle draw on September 22, where 50 grocery items and cash gift were given away ensued.
Likewise, on the 22nd of September, an awarding ceremony for the best offices of the provincial government and the citing of retirees under the theme “Salamat, Mabuhay 2021” was undergone at the Diwa ng Tarlac.
Governor Susan Yap led the awarding ceremony.
This year’s celebration is guided with 10-year overarching theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Holding Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes”, that calls to reflect the path the civil service has to take to build on the gains of last year’s modernization efforts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the role of human resources in building a competent and credible workforce in the new normal.
Retirees who were given a plaque of appreciation and a P3,000 cash gift are Sonia Manabat [28 years in service] of the Provincial Budget Office, Rosita Dalusong [32 years] of the Provincial Accounting Office, Ferdinand Milla [+] [37 years] of the Provincial Planning and Development Office, Wilma Delena [28 years] of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Anacleto Mangaoang [38 years] of the Provincial Equipment Pool Office, Bienvenido Custodio Jr. [35 years] of the Gilberto O. Teodoro Memorial Hospital, Helen Bunzol [15 years] of the Public Employment Service Office, Reynaldo Sinio [30 years] of the Provincial General Services Office and Dionisio Tan [26 years] of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Under the Pinakamahusay na Organisasyon category, the Provincial Equipment Pool Office [PEPO] won the top award for the third year in a row. The Provincial Health Office [PHO] placed second while the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist-Department of Agriculture [OPA-DA] placed third. Each received a plaque with P20,000, P10,000 and P5,000 cash gift was awarded to PEPO, PHO and OPA-DA respectively.
Casual employee Anthony Capulong of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office was adjudged Kahanga-Hangang Gawa awardee and received a plaque of appreciation and a cash gift of P3,000.
The Provincial Human Resource Management Office headed by Vilma Go was the over-all in-charge of the CSC anniversary.
Gov. Yap congratulated the winners and thanked those who retired for their loyalty and service to the province.
