THE Province of Tarlac and the Tarlac Provincial Hospital (TPH) bagged six major awards during the 9th Central Luzon Excellence Awards for Health (CLExAH) 2023 last December 1 at the ceremony held at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in the City of San Fernando in Pampanga.
Tarlac received the Excellence Award on UHC Implementation, Outstanding Performance in 2022 LGU Health Scoreboard, Excellence Award in Public Health Program Implementation for LGUs, Top Performing Province in Measles Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity and MNCHN-RH Champion (Bronze) Provincial Category while the Tarlac Provincial Hospital was awarded the Four-Star Green and Safe Government Hospital.
Governor Susan Yap who received the awards congratulated the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and the TPH for their efforts in bagging the awards.
“Congratulations to the province of Tarlac, the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Jeanette Lazatin and the TPH headed by Dr. Maita Rigor for bagging these major awards from the Department of Health (DoH). Our aim of providing quality healthcare to our fellow Tarlaqueños paid-off,” Gov. Yap said.
The awards are given to Central Luzon provinces who brave the challenges and being a model for pro-activeness, health system thinking and sustainable health system.
Last year, Tarlac received the Excellence Award on Universal Health Care (UHC) Implementation, COVID HERO (Hospital Excellence in Response Outbreak), National Hospital Star Awardee, COVID-19 Response Excellence Award and Outstanding Performance in 2021 LGU (Local Government Unit) Health Scorecard while also being recognized for being the Most Consistent Province and Best Supportive Supervision—a special award for COVID-19 Vaccination.
CLEXAH is an annual health awards in Central Luzon that honors and recognizes efficiency and reliability of health service providers in ensuring the quality of service rendered to the people in their respective provinces.
